Hello friends,

 

I’m sure most of us have heard the phrase “Go big, or go home.” I challenge you to twist the phrase a bit “Go big (for God), until you go home.” Remember our citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20 “For our citizenship is in the heavens, from where we also await a Savior—the Lord Jesus Christ—“).

 

The Bible tells us to do EVERYTHING as if working for the Lord. Everything means our jobs, volunteering, housework and so much more!  If you are blessed with legs and hands then use them to glorify God.

 

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,”.

Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬ ‭NIV‬‬

 

 

The Bible tells us we are the Iight of the world and we should let our light shine so people can see what we do and God will be glorified:

““You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

 

The Bible tells us to help those less fortunate than us. Jesus says when we help others by supplying their needs it’s the same as if we did it for Him:

““The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭40‬ ‭NIV‬‬

 

 

Again the Bible tells us:

“And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

 

Lastly, the Bible tells us not to become lazy but to keep faith and be patient for our inheritance:

“God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them. We want each of you to show this same diligence to the very end, so that what you hope for may be fully realized. We do not want you to become lazy, but to imitate those who through faith and patience inherit what has been promised.”

‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭NIV‬‬

 

 

So go BIG (for God), until you go home.  Then you will  hear “Well done, good and faithful servant”
