Hello Friends,

It's been a busy few weeks, so I haven't posted in a while.  The holidays are always busier, with less staffing at work due to people taking time off, and family gatherings.  I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year!   Today is Epiphany, traditionally celebrated as the day the Wise Men visited baby Jesus (although it is believed it was a few years before they made it to see Him).  Can you imagine walking for days to see the New King?   Can you just imagine (I would say close your eyes, but then you couldn't read this) walking in the room where Mary and Joseph and baby Jesus were?  KNOWING who Jesus was?  Just looking at His tiny face and knowing He was going to save YOU, personally, and the rest of the world?  Looking at the look of peace on Mary's face?  Looking at Joseph as he held his son?  I can't even imagine how that must have felt.

It's amazing to think about, that God sent His SON to earth as a human baby (fully God and fully human) to live on earth, to grow up and to show Love to people (that's Love with a capital "L").   To show men and women on earth the path to God in Heaven.  He DIED on a cross to pay for our sins (sins are thoughts and actions that defy God's Word).  The payment for sin is death.  In the old testament they sacrificed animals, in the New Testament, a sinless man (Jesus) was crucified, nailed to a cross, to be the sacrifice for our sins.   I don't know about you, but I can't stand pain, whether it's stubbing my toe, or a backache, I hate it.  But Jesus WANTED to die for us.  He WANTED to take on death for us!  HE is the way to Heaven.  The Bible says that "all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God." (John 1:12) But here is the best part.  He came back to LIFE!  He rose from the dead, defeating death and winning a victory over the devil!!!  He is alive and we can live with Him in Heaven!

That's right!  If we believe in Jesus, confess and repent of our sins, and receive (ACCEPT) His FREE gift of Salvation we can live in Heaven with Him when we die from our earthly lives.  You are SO LOVED by Him.  Please, if you do not attend already, find a Bible believing church near you.  Find someone to talk to about Jesus, e-mail me if you need someone to talk to.  The Bible warns that time is running out.  Do NOT delay, open your heart, ears and eyes to God's Word TODAY!     

I am a follower of Christ, I am not perfect, but I love Jesus.
